JAZAK MONASTERY

It is probably one of the most beautiful architectural monuments at Fruska Gora. It takes you only half an hour to reach the monastery and to enjoy the unique combination of the old Serbian architecture, the baroque style and, which is especially interesting, Islamic influence. Although being the youngest monastery at Fruska Gora (middle of 18th century), according to a legend, it’s connected with Despot Jovan Brankovic. However, the fact is that there are the remains of St. Stephen Uros V, the last emperor from the Nemanjic dynasty there in the monastery.
